Weekend Attire

I hope everyone is having a nice weekend! I have been busy cleaning my house after all of our Christmas festivities and putting together all my sons toys! ( boy are some of those difficult haha)  Anyway this is an easy weekend look I put together, I really liked the look of layering sweaters over collared shirts, so I just threw this sweater on over a collared jean sleeveless shirt. I feel it dresses it up a bit while still looking effortless. I'm also really loving these booties I found on Amazon. They have cute little strap detailing and will look good with many different outfits. Thanks for stopping by!

Casual Holiday

I can't believe today is Christmas Eve! Is it just me or did this holiday season just fly by. Honestly it makes me a little sad that its almost over, Christmas time is my favorite time of the year. All the decorations, music, lights, and spending time with family. I love love buying presents for people and as soon as I get it I just want to give it to that person right away because I just get so darn excited. Luckily since my husband and I have quite a bit a family to see during the holidays we get to give presents tonight and I can't wait to see their faces :) Anyway this post is about just an easy casual holiday look that I will be wearing for this Christmas Eve. I really love this shirt, the button and leather detailing on the sleeves are what drew me to it. I paired it with a pair of black denim, which looks nice but also super comfy and casual. You can pair it with pumps, boots, or a strappy shoe like I did here. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and remember the reason for the season! God Bless! xoxo

Favorite Drugstore Makeup

I don't know about you but I always find myself daydreaming when walking through Sephora that I could just buy every product in the entire store, and then suddenly I am snapped back to reality and realize that my bank account isn't going to let that happen. I love all the high end products and do buy them sparingly but when I am on a tight budget I cruise to the drugstore to see what I can find. I am super quick to try the latest and greatest products and feel like I have tried them all... In today's post I am going to share with you my favorites. Like I said I will try almost any product to see how it is however I always find myself going back to these same products listed below.

NYX HD Concealer is by far the best drugstore concealer I have tried. It is creamy and has really great coverage. It does not get cakey or crease under my eyes and has a wide range of colors to choose from. The best part is it is UNDER 5 dollars!

I am pretty sure I have tried just about every drugstore foundation and I always come back to Revlon. I don't now what it is about their foundations but I just love them all. Nearly Naked has a much lighter feel but still maintains medium coverage that is buildable. Revlon Age Defy has the most coverage of them all and gives a nice flawless finish and doesn't settle into fine lines. Revlon Color Stay is also great, it has great coverage and comes in a wide variety of shades. They have a normal to dry and normal to oily skin which is nice because it can meet different needs.

Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder is a really nice powder. It comes in a few shades however I usually always go with translucent. I have oily skin and it completely cuts my shine and lasts throughout the day.

There are SO many mascaras on the market these days and I always always go back to Maybeline. They sure do know how to make some good mascaras. My absolute favs are Falsies and The Rocket. My eyelashes are terrible, they aren't very long and they stick straight out, I curl them and literally 5 minutes later they fall down and just stick straight out, it is super frustrating. Whenever I use either of these mascaras they actually make my lashes look longer and bolder and keep their shape which is exactly what I look for in a mascara. They have an awesome price as well, they are both under 8 bucks.

I love love these Revlon color balms. The color is so pigmented, they smell great and are very moisturizing when applying. These specific ones dry to a nice stain that lasts all day long. Definitely my favorite drugstore lip products.

I have to say I used to only use MAC fluidline gel liner and one day I was watching a beauty guru on youtube talk about her all time favorite gel liner was from Maybelline. I was thinking to myself no way that couldn't be her favorite out of the liners on the market especially high end ones. I decided to give it a try and see how it was and I was pleasantly surprised. The color is super pigmented and it glides on with ease and last all day, It has become my daily eyeliner.

What are some of your favorite drugstore products??

Thanksgiving Comfort

I know this is a little late but this was my outfit for Thanksgiving. I wanted something comfortable (because I knew I would be stuffing my face haha) but still wanted to look nice and put together. It was funny because in my mind it was a casual outfit but my whole family kept saying how dressed up I was. That's exactly the thing I love about sweater dresses, virtually little effort but looks like you did. Hope you all have a nice day!
